Dutch sneaker store Acht (eight to us English speakers) is set to launch their first collaboration; a handsome Saucony Shadow 6000. Those who know me well enough will be aware that I’m a sucker for black/white/red combinations and these Sauc’s pull the scheme off well. A nice mix of materials come together to create a really nice looking shoe, I love the dark tea coloured gum sole and the denim around the toe creates a more durable shoe.

You can read an interview with Acht’s owner Philip in regards to the story behind the shoe on Lacebag (English translation). Always nice to see the smaller retailers get a chance.

– t, releasing next month only at Vijzelstraat 105 (wherever that is)

Fuck You All by Glen E. Friedman by Matt

If you don’t know Glen E. Friedman I’m pretty sure you’ll atleast be familiar with some of his photographs. Friedman is one of the few photographers that can truly be labelled a pioneer, standing along side a select group of dedicated shutterbugs that captured the rise of youth, from skating in dried up pools in California to hip-hop in NYC. His show; Fuck You All documents some of his most memorable works.

The video gives a short interview with the photographer himself, showcasing a few select shots in the process. You can check out Friedman’s site and blog for more info.

– t, this would be dope to see first hand

The man behind one of the most revered and well known sneaker stores in the world (and all-round good guy) graciously gave me a bit of his time to discuss some things that nobody else seems to touch on. Rather than talking about the next collaboration I thought it would be better to talk about something different.
