“This project considers the Earth from a variety of perspectives, utilizing Geo-Cosmos, Geo-Scope, and Geo-Palette.” No clue what that means but basically Mitsubishi built the coolest disco ball ever for the The Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in Japan.

Built from 10,000 Oled panels measuring 96mm x 96mm projecting a 10 million pixel image of the Earth from space. The images of clouds on the globe reflect the everyday image data taken by the weather satellites. It is possible to see an image of the Earth as early as the morning of that current day.

It also provides graphic images such as ocean acidification, temperature change, and various scientific observation data related to Earth. With the Geo-Cosmos you can see the current image of Earth that changes every minute, and what your Earth will look like in the future. The Geo-Cosmos’ exhibit content is acquired from scientists and research institutes all around the world.
